Erä demonstrated exceptional technical skills in the semi final against Lekrings. The Latvian players on then other hand never stopped fighting - but they could not prevent a Finnish 9-4 victory.

After the first period the scoreboard in Arena Nord in Frederikshavn was parked at two to one in favour of Erä. The story behind that score was a massive Finnish pressure, to fabulous goals and excellent goal tending from Lekrings’ Guntis Budzenieks. With 15 seconds remaining a Latvian counter attack resulted in a rather comic Finnish own goal.

After the first intermission Erä kept their high pace and produced a tremendous amount of scoring chances. And unlike in the first period the execution of the many chances improved leading to four more goals.

The third period was a roller coaster with a total of six goals. Lekrings fought like crazy and began and intense fore checking game that frustrated the Finnish technicians. But it also resulted in the Latvian goals and great entertainment for the crowd. In their fight Lekrings received no less than six penalties.

The final score settled at 9-4 in favour of Tapanilan Erä who faces SSV Helsinki in a Finnish EFC-final. That match is played Sunday afternoon.
